Omur Akkor was born in Kilis, Turkey. Akkor, who carries out studies on Turkey’s local cuisines and forgotten dishes, is travelling throughout 71 provinces and hundreds of districts and keeping minute records on every location. He produces programs for a number of television channels and writes on culture and travel. He lives in Istanbul, Turkey.
